FISU AND WBF SIGN AGREEMENT
16/11/2006
During the last World University Bridge Championship which took place in Tianjin, China last month, FISU signed a covenant with the World Bridge Federation.
The WBF President attended the last two competition days of the WUC and also participated in the seminar organised by FISU Technical Chairman for Bridge Geert Magerman on the situation and creation of University Bridge Clubs within the Universities.
TIANJIN CITY
03/11/2006
From October 21 to 27 our representative had a great pleasure
to visit the 3rd World University Bridge Championship in Tianjin City. Impressive
opening ceremony, great sport venue and accommodation and 27 fine teams from
22 countries made the Championship one-of-a-kind event.
The winners of this year's Championship are China A team - we will see them in
Lodz as well in two years time. Silver medals went to USA and bronze to Poland
B (Poland
A took 6th place).
Lukasz Janczar officially took over the FISU flag on behalf
of the 2008 Championship organizing committee.
